Capability of a licensed professional engineer to recognize and apply the principle that the engineering ethics code applies to real persons — not to business entities — and that business form or type (corporation, LLC, partnership, etc.) does not negate or influence the conformance obligations of individual engineers who establish and implement policies within those business structures, thereby preventing the use of corporate or organizational form as a shield against individual professional ethical accountability.
